Description

I have to come up with a more profound or at least thoughtful title for this piece as it is going to be my final project in my printmaking class.
Yes this is going to be transferred onto an etching plate, but I was trying to figure everything out by sketching it first.
So ya trying my best here and getting fed up with it.CURSE YOU!
Water doesn't look like water, my circles are to large, the scales not even accurate, obviously I can go on.

oh does anyone have any ideas on what to call this fishy tail because I could really use some help with that.Waaaah!

Call it, 'A Really Big Deal for My Class'. See if Teach likes it.

And I don't mind the water so much, but if you're looking for smooth, trout-like scales, they need to be very even and lined up nicely. You can experiment with making wide criss-cross marks down the tails, making sure the spaces end up like diamonds, instead of squares. If you make the lines follow the volume and contours of the tails, it will look really believable. Remember that the diamond\spaces\scales are wider towards the head, and very small towards the tail.

If you want rough, snake-like or dragon scales, I have no idea. Draw every single one of them and cry, I guess. Marine creatures don't usually have scales like that, though.
